My personal Value Pack for our good old Samsung Galaxy Tab.

If you think CyanogenMod 9 isn't good enough, if you're waiting for Jelly Bean to become stable, if you're sad for Alterbridge's desertion, if you don't want to remain in Samsung any more, then you could try Cyanogen: The Future 7.2.

I just ported CyanogenMod 7.2 from Galaxy S with all its good things like swype to clear notifications and rotation animation.

FEATURES:

Based on CyanogenMod 7.2 (Gingerbread 2.3.7)

Task manager from Samsung's Touchwiz

DPI set to 240. Gingerbread doesn't have a tablet mode, but if you want to change the dimensions of the objects in the screen you can set the DPI to 213 editing the file /system/build.prop and changing the line ro.sf.lcd_density=240 to ro.sf.lcd_density=213. I don't suggested you to set other values, because it will cause compatibility issues.

While charging and the tablet is shut down, battery animation is very strange (do you remember CyanogenMod 9 bug?)

Keyboard id very small. I suggest you to use ICS keyboard from Google Play.

If you're coming from an ICS or JB ROM, return to stock firmware and install Overcome using

Boot into recovery (Power + volume up)

Mounts and storage > Format system (Important! If you have FCs, check this passage)

Wipe data / factory reset

Wipe cache

Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache

Install zip from sdcard > choose cm-7.2-future-galaxytab-v*.zip

of course, being a beta there is bugs. first and foremost, i will say it again, this build of AOKP is based on the SGT7 TE4M's device, vendor and kernels, therefore: ANYTHING THAT DOESNT WORK ON CM10 WILL NOT WORK ON THIS BUILD EITHER!

during my testing of AOKP features i have noticed the following bugs:

• Vibrations menu in ROMControl will Force Close (FC) ROMControl, so far its not working but i have left it there to work on getting it going
• Battery Bar does not work in Tablet UI (won't show up no matter what you set it to)
• If you change the clock to centered on Hybrid Mode, then the clock will not show up in the notification area in Tablet UI - make sure you change it back to Right if you change to Tablet UI
• (not really a bug?) Toggles will not show in Tablet UI unless you click on the clock area.
• Holding down the Home Button to get to the Navbar Ring will cause the Recents Menu to appear
• Sliders on the Perfomance Menu for changing clock speed are terribly unresponsive (can take many clicks / long clicks to get it to change) - but they do work.

and some more device/rom based bugs:

• USB Tether is not working, so it has been disabled in Toggles - it will not work if you attempt to enable it in Settings.

this as i said is a beta, and each person that flashes this is in a way a tester...

so you think you have found a bug in AOKP SGT7? - thats great! (well, not really but at least its a step closer to it being potentially fixed!)

Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo

Reporting Bugs

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Note that this is a preview release and non-device specific bugs will not be accepted. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

• Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
• If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.

Use these commands to get a logcat and dmesg

cara upgrade samsung galaxy tab p1000 ke gingerbread plus rooting, cwm (non official/gb stock safe)

kali ini saya akan share cara upgrade samsung galaxy tab 7'' P1000, saya saran kan anda untuk mem backup data - data anda seperti kontak, sms, dan aplikasi - aplikasi.

lalu download file - file berikut di bawah ini : 

1. GB stock safe ==>; Download

2. modem jpz (region asia) ==> Download
3. kies atau samsung usb driver ( bila laptop/cpu anda belum terinstall driver samsung ) ==> Download

selanjutnya ekstrak file gb stock safe, maka anda akan menemukan file - file berikut :

1. GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar

2. Overcome_Kernel_v4.0.0.tar

3. gt-p1000_mr.pit

4. Odin3 v1.7.exe

ini saatnya anda persiapkan diri anda untuk menghadapi segala kemungkinan yang terjadi :D
pastikan anda sudah membuat backup data - data anda, lalu lakukan langkah - langkah berikut ini :
1. pastikan untuk mencentang usb debugging di tab anda
2. matikan tab anda (ini saat nya anda ber do'a)
3. masuk ke mode download (tekan tombol power + volume down secara bersamaan (jika sukses akan  keluar segitiga kuning dan tulisan download mode)
4. buka odin.exe lalu colok kan kabel usb ke cpu, tunggu hingga odin mendeteksi tab anda
5. pada pit masuk kan gt-p1000_mr.pit, pda masuk kan  GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar, phone masukkan modem.bin.
6. pastikan repartition tidak tercentang ( jika tercentangh akan mem format memori internal anda)
7. tekan start dan tunggu hingga ada pemberitahuan finish, removed. tab anda akan restart dengan sendirinya.
8. matikan lagi tab anda, masuk mode download, buka odin dan masukkan Overcome_Kernel_v4.0.0.tar

pada kolom pda tekan start, tablet akan restart cukup lama, karena akan meng konversi file RFS samsung ke Ext 4 dimana nanti anda dapat menginstall berbagai macam custom rom :D

Flashing/upgrade Galaxy Tab P1000/T849 ke Gingerbread Official

Flashing Galaxy Tab P1000/T849 untuk mengatasi masalah error atau untuk meng upgrade versi Galaxy tab P1000 anda dari froyo ke gingerbread official, dan caranya pun tidak terlalu sulit, karena kita hanya perlu menyiapkan beberapa bahan untuk memulainya, ok langsung saja.

pertama download odin multi downloader disini ===> Odin

kemudian cari firmware yang sesuai dengan region kamu di sini firmware

jika ingin upgrade ke gingerbread bisa pilih versi 2.3 keatas, atau jika ingin downgrade bisa pilih versi 2.2 (froyo).

jika file - file tersebut telah anda download, makanya selanjutnya kita masuk ke tahap flashing atau upgrade atau downgrade

wajib di perhatikan, baterai tab minimal 80% dan lebih aman bila menggunakan laptop yang baterainya full, karena jika menggunakan komputer/cpu dan pada saat proses flashing/upgrade/downgrade mati listrik, maka tab anda akan jadi bata :D tapi tenang tetap ada cara mengatasinya kok

ok langsung aja.

1. Install Samsung USB Driver atau KIES paling baru ==> Kies ===> Driver saja
2. Install Odin
3. Masuk ke dalam Mode Download di Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000
   1. Matikan Galaxy Tab
   2. Tekan dan tahan tombol POWER dan VOLUME DOWN secara bersamaan
   3. Bila berhasil akan keluar gambar segitiga kuning
4. Jalankan Odin
5. Sambungkan Galaxy Tab ke Laptop dengan kabel usb
6. Bila sudah tersambung, kotak di Odin akan berwarna hijau dan ada informasi “added”
7. Masukkan file firmware (yang tadi anda download) dalam bentuk .tar kedalam PDA
8. Pastikan check-box “re-partition” tidak dicentang karena akan menghapus semua data
9. Berdoa sejenak
10. Tekan tombol START
11. Tunggu sejenak, sambil berdoa
12. Perhatikan progress bar pada Odin
13. Kalau Odin sudah bilang PASS, maka Samsung Galaxy Tab Anda akan reboot secara otomatis
14. Tunggu sejenak, tetap sambil berdoa
15. Selamat anda telah berhasil flashing atau upgrade atau downgrade galaxy tab anda

cara upgrade Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 ke Gingerbread ( official firmware )

Sama seperti cara upgrade Samsung Galaxy sebelumnya, tapi kali ini kita akan mengupgrade OS Android di Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 dengan menggunakan Odin. Langsung saja ke tkp…

Siapkan alat dan bahan yang akan digunakan :

1. Stock ROM (dalam bentuk .tar), download di sammobile.com/firmware
   Login dulu, lalu cari stock ROM untuk Galaxy Tab GT-P1000, download dan simpan
   Dalam tutorial ini saya gunakan stock ROM P1000DXJPE_P1000DXJPE_P1000OLBJPE_HOME.tar (Gingerbread 2.3.3) atau langsung download di sini
2. File PIT (GT-P1000_M.PIT) download di sini
3. Aplikasi Odin v1.85.zip download di sini

Cara upgrade Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 :

1. Jalankan Aplikasi Odin
2. Isi file yang diperlukan dalam proses upgrade :
   - Untuk PIT : Pilih file GT-P1000.pit
   - Untuk PDA : Pilih file stock ROM (P1000DXJPE_P1000DXJPE_P1000OLBJPE_HOME.tar)
   - Yang lain biarkan saja kosong…
3. Matikan Galaxy Tab, masuk ke downloading mode dengan cara menekan tombol Power+Volume Down secara bersamaan sampai muncul logo Robot Droid lagi mencangkul
4. Colokkan kabel data dari Galaxy Tab ke Laptop/computer. Muncul tulisan Added!! di kolom Message Odin dan lampu kuning di kolom ID:COM
5. Klik Start
6. Setelah muncul pesan All threads completed. (sucseed 1/failed 0) dan lampu hijau
   dengan tulisan PASS maka Galaxy Tab kamu selesai diupgrade!
7. Lepaskan kabel data, matikan Galaxy Tab dan nyalakan kembali seperti biasa
8. Untuk melihat versi Firmware, lihat di Settings > Tentang perangkat > Nomor versi (Gingerbread), versi firmware (2.3.3)
9. Selamat mencoba…
